What is happening?
Get ready for a colorful extravaganza! Students will be dashing, strolling, and grooving around our track while getting covered in colored powder! For the next few weeks, students and their families are on a mission to gather support from friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues to donate to their Color Run adventure. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year!!!
Why We Run?
This year our goal is to raise $40,000 dollars and all proceeds from this year's Color Run will support:
- Park in the Park - Phase 2: Continuing our "Park in the Park" initiative with the addition of more trees to create a welcoming, sustainable outdoor area for students and families to enjoy!
- Teacher Grants: Funding innovative classroom programs that enhance student learning and engagement.
- The HPE Park Hive: Promoting student positivity, leadership, and fun!
- Future Projects: To be determined by parents and community members, ensuring our efforts continue to reflect what matters most to HPE families. We are taking ideas at our community meeting on Nov 17th.
It's crucial to demonstrate to kids that being active can be enjoyable. The Color Run teaches students that exercise can be thrilling rather than a chore. This event promotes a lifelong love of movement and wellness while fostering healthy competition. Participants build resilience, teamwork, confidence, and motivation, learning valuable life skills like goal-setting, fair play, and perseverance.
How can we help?
Family and friends can support our school by making online donations via debit/credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and more. All donations are 100% tax-deductible and may qualify for corporate matching, doubling your contribution (note: corporate matching may not apply to student prizes).
